Pumpkin Patch & Haunted Gallery October 14
Pumpkin Patch & Haunted Gallery
Date: Wednesday October 14
Time: Based on Grade
The annual Nimitz pumpkin patch is a PTA funded event where the GLC floor space is decorated as a pumpkin patch and all students are given a free pumpkin. During the school day; individual classrooms will come to the GLC on their scheduled time for students to select a pumpkin and conclude with a class photo. Day-of volunteers will populate/re-seed the patch with pumpkins after each classroom visit while also assisting as a chaperone and aiding the teachers. Students will also be given the option to walk-through the Haunted Gallery during this visit.
The Haunted Gallery is a volunteer designed/decorated visual experience with a Halloween-theme. The GLC stage is transformed with existing decorations to a "spooky" house where students can tour with their class during their scheduled time and will also be open to immediate family for a brief period after-school. Day-of volunteers will staff the entrance, exit and interior of the haunted gallery.
