Whether you are new to our school community or returning, we welcome you to Nimitz Elementary!
Our PTA mission is to positively impact the lives of all children and families.
You can get involved by donating, becoming a member, volunteering, or all three!
What exactly does PTA do?

PTA provides Nimitz with:

Art instructor for all grades TK-5th

Help funding Recess 101 for all students

School assembly enrichment performances from professional artists
-
Contributions to Science Camp and other field trips
-
Subscriptions to classroom news publications
-
Reimbursements for classroom purchases
-
A budget for Library book and supply purchases
-
Community-building events such as Harvest Festival, Multicultural Festival, Walk-a-thon Carnival, Pumpkin Patch, Family Science Night, After School Care and Movie, among others.
The Nimitz PTA works tirelessly to raise funds that support essential programs no longer funded by the State of California or the District. Without your support, we cannot continue to offer these valuable and enriching experiences at the current level for our students and school community.
We kindly suggest a donation of $300 for the first student and $100 for each additional student, but any amount is greatly appreciated. Our goal is 100% participation in the Direct Donation Fundraiser—every contribution counts!

Upcoming Events
TK/Kindergarten Play Date
Date: Thursday September 10
Time: 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM
Children and families of TK/K are invited to attend an after school get together at Nimitz.
PTA Association Meeting
Date: Thursday September 17
Time: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
The PTA invites its members to meet at Nimitz GLC.
Fall Events
Throughout October
The PTA will hold fall events Pumpkin Patch/Haunted Gallery, pumpkin decorating contest and Halloween movie night. Stay tuned for dates.
